What leaves your Mac

Short version: never your photographs, never your catalog, never anything you edit. This is the long version.

Everything that leaves your Mac

Update check
A small manifest and the update feed are read from GitHub at launch and when the app comes forward, at most once an hour. It is what makes an emergency fix reachable.
Model downloads
When you ask for a model it is fetched from the same public release. Nothing is sent up with the request.
Sky packs
Only if you use the Sky tool's downloadable plates.
Beta heartbeat
At most once an hour: a random identifier generated on this Mac — never a hardware ID — the hash of your invite code, the app version and the macOS version. It is what keeps a revoked code revocable and says which build people are actually running.
Usage statistics
Carried on that same heartbeat, and only while Settings ▸ Privacy allows it: how many times the app was launched and how many seconds it was in the foreground. Nothing else — no filenames, no camera, no photographs, no personal information.
Reports
Only what you write and attach, when you press send.
Sync
Only if you turn it on, and then into your iCloud account rather than a service of ours. It carries your presets and libraries, never your photographs.

Turning the statistics off

Settings ▸ Privacy. Switching it off stops the measuring, not just the sending: a counter that keeps ticking into a file nobody sends is still a record of when you worked, and off should mean off. Anything counted but not yet sent is discarded rather than going out as one last report.

Reporting a problem

Help → Report a Problem… sends a bug, a crash, a question or a suggestion, with up to five attachments. If you include diagnostic data, Show exactly what is sent prints it first — byte for byte what leaves.

Replies come back inside the app, under Help → My Reports, as a thread you can answer.
